Happy Memorial Day

We spent much of the weekend like many others, relaxing and recharging. When we moved here (almost a year ago- wow) our grill didn't make the cut and was left at our house in Dallas. Since the holiday weekend put us in the mood to grill out, we made a trip to the store to pick up a Weber. While we were there, we also picked up this little treat.

Chris and I just knew we were going to have to peel Easton out of it but he was more interested in what the dogs were up to or lounging around with Dad. He also made sure we were aware there was an inflatable turtle floating dangerously close to his feet.

At least this classic patriotic dessert was a hit. Cheers and thanks to all the service men and women for all they do for us.

My First Blog!

Well, I did it. This is my very first blog ever. Joining the blogging world has been something I've been mulling over for awhile but naturally the normal stuff got in the way- being a mom, a busy life and not to mention, an arguably unhealthy fear of having pictures of me and my family out on the web.

Following the lead of some of my girlfriends who are super-mom, super-bloggers, I'm finally making my first post. I'm excited to have a space to share our family photos and experiences with family and friends and most of all, to create a memory book that I hope we'll have years down the road.
