Half Birthday

Easton turned 18 months old this month (he has my permission to slow down) and while we don't actually party on our half birthdays around here, it is fun to reminisce. Here's a look back...

  

Not My First Haircut

Easton is blessed with a full head of hair that seems to grow endlessly and I'm sure might be the envy of his soon-to-be sister. Chris and I have each trimmed it more than a few times but let's face it, we are clearly not professionals. Here's how the pros do it....

The Zoo!

Of the 30 plus words Easton says, almost half are animal names. We rarely pass a dog or cat in the street without stopping to say hello and like to point out every bird and living thing that we see. It was time to take this little guy to the zoo and today was the day.

Austin has a zoo that is a bit closer but we'd heard good things about Cameron Park Zoo in Waco. I have to say, it was worth the trip and few extra miles. Despite living in Waco for four years during college, I had never been to this zoo. Perhaps too busy studying?

We saw the fish and bird exhibits...

But our favorites were the giraffes and elephants...

E was surprised to learn that he isn't the only one that enjoys a good bottle.

And he even did some exploring on his own...

By the end of it we were more tired than this guy...
